What we collect
Your email address, the surname you asked us to research, any optional spelling or country you supplied, and the payment record returned by Stripe. Card details never reach our systems.
What we deliberately do not collect
Because surname history research, not personal genealogy, we never ask for your relatives' names, birth dates, documents, DNA results or family tree data.
Why we keep it
To deliver your report, to let you sign back in and read it again, and to keep the accounting records a payment processor and tax authority require.
Sharing
A report is private to your account until you choose to share it. Shared report links and exported graphics are public to anyone holding the link, and carry the Ancesta mark.
Your choices
You can ask us to delete your account and reports at any time by writing to hello@ancesta.co. Payment records are retained where the law requires.
